Ensure the efficiency of human and material resources within the departments, particularly in the management and control of shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation activities.
Set departmental objectives aligned with strategic planning, communicate them to stakeholders, and develop programs to achieve the set objectives.
Proactively identify improvement needs and implement effective work methods.
Train and supervise employees in logistics.
Continuously review and optimize inventory management processes.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and promote a health and safety culture.
Ensure adherence to company policies and promote the corporate culture.
Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain a healthy and respectful work environment.
Manage disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies, in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
Participate in the hiring process in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
Oversee leave and vacation requests for the department.
Verify and approve timesheets for the team.
Desired skills
Bilingualism Required
Hold a DEC/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Operations Management.
Possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or distribution environment, including a minimum of 3 years in team management.
Proficiency with ERP software (Orchestra or equivalent).
Inventory management expertise.
Lean/Six Sigma certification (an asset).
