Job responsability

Daily Operations Management

  • Ensure the efficiency of human and material resources within the departments, particularly in the management and control of shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation activities.
  • Set departmental objectives aligned with strategic planning, communicate them to stakeholders, and develop programs to achieve the set objectives.
  • Proactively identify improvement needs and implement effective work methods.
  • Train and supervise employees in logistics.
  • Continuously review and optimize inventory management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and promote a health and safety culture.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and promote the corporate culture.

Personnel Management

  • Assess the training needs of the team.
  • Evaluate staffing needs (departures, hiring, overtime).
  • Conduct annual evaluations for team members.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain a healthy and respectful work environment.
  • Manage disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies, in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
  • Participate in the hiring process in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
  • Oversee leave and vacation requests for the department.
  • Verify and approve timesheets for the team.

Desired skills

  • Bilingualism Required
  • Hold a DEC/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Operations Management.
  • Possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or distribution environment, including a minimum of 3 years in team management.
  • Proficiency with ERP software (Orchestra or equivalent).
  • Inventory management expertise.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (an asset).
